First Day of Class

It's been years since I first did reporting on sports, so I signed up for this Advanced Sports Reporting class to brush off the rust. I mainly filled in when needed for my undergraduate paper, writing about baseball and men's volleyball. It's pretty interesting to some guys to know a girl can read a list of baseball statistics and actually understand what they are reading!

So I'm really excited about our group projects. We're going to be working with members of a broadcast journalism class in Columbia's convergence newsroom. My group, which consists of Angie, Ashley and Lindsey, seem to be a group of very dedicated young women, and I'm very excited for Ashley and Lindsey to introduce me to broadcast journalism ideas. This should be a great opportunity along with everything else I have going on at The Printed Blog!
